Farmers Market News & Press

Hereau Farms

Hereau Farms is a regenerative farm located in Franklinton, Louisiana. We focus on sustainably providing food for our family and community in a way that respects the environment we live in, the animals we raise, and improves the health of the soil we farm.

The heart of our regenerative practice is our three-field rotational system, our chickens and cows rotate on one field, adding organic matter and nutrients. The second field is in cover crops, allowing the soil to rest. The third field is in vegetable/fruit production. Once per year the fields are rotated, allowing us to build soil health year over year.

We offer pasture raised eggs, a wide variety of seasonal vegetables and fruit as well as fresh herbs and edible flowers. Seasonally, we offer a selection of dried herbs, peppers and beans.

Owned and operated by John Heroman, Amanda Heroman and Kate Parenteau, we are proud to be able to provide our community with nutrient-dense, vibrant and delicious foods.
