Premiere Produce People

King Cake is garnering attention with this season’s tastiest flavors, let’s not forget the freshest food at market and the reason we all gather at CCFM: produce! The winter season is the best growing time for root veggies, brassicas, greens, and strawberries! CCFM boasts several regular produce vendor superstars at each market. Find a great variety of produce at all of our markets from Isabel’s Tamales and Produce, VEGGI Co-op, Monica’s Okra World, Louisiana Gourmet Produce and Perilloux Farms. Additionally, River Queen Greens can be found at our Thursday Mid-City Market and Fekete Family Farms can be found at our Tuesday Uptown Market. Don’t forget specialty produce vendors like Mycelium Express and Take Box for all things mushrooms, L’Hoste Citrus for mandarin oranges and grapefruits this time of year, and Johndales Farms for strawberries. Vendor of the Week:

Coffee Science NOLA

Coffee Science is CCFM’s first coffee vendor! With a shop and cafe on Broad St., Coffee Science was originally opened by long time coffee roaster and barista Tom Oliver, who has spent the past 30 years in the coffee industry here in New Orleans. Coffee Science is at the Sunday City Park market every week selling whole beans, hot coffee and cold brew, and an array of their specialty coffee drinks, like the espresso nebula which is a whipped espresso drink with cane sugar and ice. They’ve also got a serious pastry program which includes seasonal breakfast grab-and-go items like burritos and savory pastries as well as a chocolate espresso king cake featured in the new Big Book of King Cake. Trim your morning errands and satisfy all your caffeine needs for the week at the Sunday CCFM!
