Starting Tuesday, May 13, the Uptown Crescent City Farmers Market will temporarily relocate to The Batture at 25 Walnut Street - a beautiful riverside spot with on-site parking, plenty of green space, and a breezy view of the Mississippi River! Just .5 miles down Leake Ave from our current location at 200 Broadway, we are excited to have the Batture as a temporary home for our Uptown Market while the construction of pickleball and tennis courts takes place at Uptown Square Click here for directions to the Batture

From I-10
From I-10/Pontchartrain Expressway, take the South Carrollton exit. If you're coming from Metairie, the ramp will merge with South Carrollton heading toward the Mississippi River; if driving from Downtown or New Orleans East, turn left at the first traffic signal (Palmetto Street) then right at South Carrollton. Go 2.2 miles to the end of South Carrollton and turn left on Leake Avenue. With the levee on your right, continue a mile; the Market will be at the end of Leake Ave over the levee, near Magazine.

Market Umbrella implements fresh food incentive programs such as Market Match, which matches SNAP dollars spent at market for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables. Starting January 1st, 2025, Market Match will be capped to $40 per visit, allowing us to match each EBT/SNAP dollar being swiped on-site at the orange Welcome Tent up to $40.
Between June and the end of November, certified market vendors accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers for both seniors and WIC participants. Market Umbrella is able to double FMNP benefits with tokens on-site at the Welcome Tent.

Market Umbrella is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3), based in New Orleans, whose mission is to cultivate the power of farmers markets to drive economic and community health in the region. Market Umbrella has operated the Crescent City Farmers Markets (CCFM) since 1995.
The Crescent City Farmers Market operates weekly year-round throughout New Orleans. The CCFM hosts 70+ local small farmers, fishers, and food producers, and more than 150,000 shoppers annually.
