All Hail the King Cake!

Carnival season is almost upon us! Following Twelfth Night, find king cakes at each of our markets throughout the week! Starting Sunday, January 8th, you can grab a slice of-–or an entire!---ricotta, chocolate, and orange king cake from Leo’s Bread; a goat cheesecake king cake from Huckleberry Creamery; and one of Paw Paw’s Donuts’ king cake donuts made with buttery brioche and delicious filling!

Keep an eye out for our full King Cake Guide detailing pre-order options and all offerings you can expect to find at market! This Carnival season, we have 10 different king cakes from 7 different vendors—that’s enough king cakes to try a new one each week leading up to Mardi Gras!

Bring out the kiddos and join us this Sunday, January 8 at the market! Marketeers Club is a free membership program for market shoppers under the age of 12. Members are invited to participate in monthly market activities and receive a special token of appreciation during their birthday month—$5 in tokens to spend at the market! To enroll your kids in Marketeers Club, fill out this simple membership form.

Market Mommas Club is Back!

Enrollment for Market Mommas Club is now open! Thanks to the generous support of LA HealthCare Connections, Market Mommas Club connects breastfeeding moms with breastfeeding support groups and offers $60 in incentives for up to 6 months to spend at the market!

To join the club, you must be eligible for Medicaid and/or WIC; pregnant and planning to or already breastfeeding babies up to six months old; and attend one breastfeeding support group per month with our program partners. If you are a new mom or a previous MMC participant that is newly pregnant or breastfeeding, please complete the 2023 Registration Form.
