We need you! We couldn't pull off our weekly farmers markets without an army of volunteers. Moreover, we're always on the lookout for new recruits. If you share our love of local food and vibrant public spaces, we'd love to hear from you.

Our volunteers come from many walks of life: market shoppers, dedicated foodies, students, professionals, chefs and restaurant staff, neighborhood activists and others who want to share their talents and time by helping Market Umbrella strengthen and sustain the local food economy.

Volunteers help with setup and breakdown, work at the Welcome Tent distributing information and beverages, play music, and assist with kids activities. We also dispatch volunteers to events around town, and enlist their help with school and community events hosted by our Meet Me at the Market program. They also contribute to the policy decision-making process through our Community Advisory Team and work on many other tasks vital to our effort to build a strong regional food community.
