Market Umbrella is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3), based in New Orleans, whose mission is to cultivate the power of farmers markets to drive economic and community health in the region. Market Umbrella has operated the Crescent City Farmers Markets (CCFM) since 1995.

Southern Maids Dairy
Started in 2013 and located in northern Washington Parish, Circle M Farms began as a 40 acre homestead for Nathan and Erin Miller. In the fall of 2015, not wanting to utilize commercial baby milk formulas, they added 4 dairy goats to their farm in anticipation of the birth of their first child. Five short years later in the summer of 2020, they became a LA state certified producer/processor goat dairy and currently operate the largest goat dairy in the state (milking approximately 100-150 goats daily) under the name Southern Maids Dairy. Offering fresh milk, an array of fresh goat cheeses, yogurt and the most decadent goat cheese cheesecakes you’ll ever taste, they also offer smoked goat sausage, ground and cubed goat meat and gorgeous fresh farm eggs.
About Us
The Crescent City Farmers Market operates weekly year-round throughout New Orleans. The CCFM hosts 70+ local small farmers, fishers, and food producers, and more than 150,000 shoppers annually.
